Life According To My Phone-- August 30th

Can you believe today is the last day of August? Holy guacamole! Here's a phone photo dump! Get a peek into our week(s)-- mostly doggies, of course.

Fenway's owners sent me this..what a cute little Pats fan! And my sister sent me that pic of her black lab, Chase. In another life I would own big doggies but for now my little ten pound poodles are perfect.

Remember Pippen? He and his sweet owners moved a few miles up the road so I won't be walking him anymore. It came at a good time since we have little BG arriving shortly!

The catch? While the movers were packing their boxes, Pippen stayed with us. For 6 hours. Two days in a row. Good God I thought I was going to lose my mind. Lots of barking, crying (by the dogs, not me I swear!), running/sprinting, and getting into stuff.

Getting ready/organized for the week

Got a new dog walking client..Cocoa! Cocoa lives on our floor in our old apartment; small world, right? That makes 3 Cocoas on our floor!

She's such a sweetie with a really soft coat. My husband would probably die being around her because she sheds like nobody's business

I only have her through the month of September and then I'm done walking dogs until the foreseeable future. Woo hoo!

This little guy and I got stuck in the rain. Hey-- When ya gotta go, ya gotta go.

My view most evenings..and sometimes afternoons..and sometimes mornings. At least I bring my laptop and work, right? Sigh.

Texting with my dad, LOL.

Sigh. It's a sickness, really. I'm honestly not a huge shopper but I bought a few things for the nursery. And headbands, obviously.

Luckily I'm done headband shopping-- just waiting on the Jameson Monroe headbands (Just 2, I promise!) to arrive hopefully soon.

That's it for today! Hope everyone is having an awesome Saturday. xO

Crib Review on Sippy Cup Mom

Remember me mentioning that my friend Melissa hooked me up with a free crib? Yes, she is amazing and I'm so thankful for her!

Well my review post is live and I encourage you to check it out!

I picked the Fisher Price Kingsport Convertible crib for review. You can read my review here-- we are totally head over heels in love with it!

Thanks, Melissa! I'm so thankful for you! xO

Bumpdate-- 32 Weeks

Eeeek! Each week seems scary close to the finish line. I'm now having appointments every 2 weeks until 35 weeks, then I'll be going weekly. At $7 each time to park, they should have a bench in our name by the end of this.

So I have some countdown app and about pooped myself when I randomly checked it a few days ago. Obviously we know it's not completely accurate, but 50 days to my due date is crazy!

How far along? 32W6D

Maternity Clothes: Not wearing much besides comfy pants around the house and my husband's shirts. I got another size large sports bra (seriously, never been that size in my life) and it's so comfortable.

Still haven't found a dress for my baby shower..thinking something long with some cute shoes! Any suggestions?

Stretch Marks? Got a few on my hips. Nothing (yet?) on my belly.

Sleep: Sleeping great minus waking up 2x to pee every night. Still taking a good 1 hour nap  each day.

Best moment this week: Planning our trip for our baby shower in NY, and doing some online shopping for BG.

Headband mail! Are they not the cutest things you've ever seen? That pink one at the top was only $3!

Love the idea of keeping them in this glass jar

I also confirmed at my appointment that we will definitely have a baby before November. My place won't let me go past 42 weeks so that means we'll have a baby for Halloween!

So of course that led to this purchase (and obviously a head band but it hasn't arrived yet)..

I didn't want to do a crazy costume when she'll be so little, so we settled for this comfy little sleeper!

Miss anything? Not much besides unlimited Diet Coke and sleeping on my belly. I have a feeling I'll miss being pregnant!

Craving anything? Not really. Water with crushed ice, watermelon, cantaloupe, and maybe a good donut with sprinkles.

Movement: Pretty active lately! When I wake up in the middle of the night I think I wake her up. Whoops! I still don't really know the difference between kicks/rolls/hiccups/punching, so I just call it "movement". Who knows.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Just the oven still. And fried or greasy food.

Have you started to show yet? Yup. More so in maternity shirts.

Gender: Widdle gal!

Labor signs: No. But had some pain in my belly while walking the other night. Think I went out too soon after eating dinner. That plus talking on the phone = major belly pain. :(

Oh and speaking of pain..Did some shopping at Target on Wednesday while my husband was at work. My cart was jam packed with one of those long storage bins and I couldn't see well. I ran into one of those stupid giant red balls outside the door and slammed into my cart. Baby was moving around after so I hated to call and be "that" lady. My legs are nice and blue which is really attractive.

Belly button in or out? In still? My husband said it's definitely darker. It's just weird looking.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy, but get annoyed easily.

Looking forward to: Baby shower, family visiting, Labor Day grilling, and getting myself a sprinkle donut after my appointment on Wednesday.

Symptoms: Congestion, difficulty breathing (can't catch my breath for anything), and dry lips/mouth.

Five Question Friday-- August 30th

Happy Friday people! Hope you all are enjoying your Friday and that you get a nice 4 day weekend. Woo hoo!

Sorry for the major lack of posts this week. Hoping to get back in my game today/this weekend. Not too much going on here this week-- lots of Lifetime movies while I work, phone calls, jammies, and headbands arriving for BG.

Today is hopefully going to be quiet work-wise, so besides walking a new dog and dusting the whole house, I plan to relax and catch up on other house stuff. And get my eyebrows waxed. Majorly.

Enjoy your weekend and Labor Day! xO

1. What Etsy shops do you like and recommend? (From this post)

Jameson Monroe for baby headbands (pricey, but have heard great things). Plus I think if you like them on FB you get a coupon.

Got a very inexpensive Halloween headband from this shop.

We ordered our crib bedding from Lolas Lovies and could not be more happy with it. Worth every penny and she was very flexible with what I wanted/didn't want. (Pictures of nursery bedding here).

2. What is your cleaning schedule? Do you do it all in one day?

Good Lord, no! I can do a more thorough post on this if you'd like, but I do a bit each day. Because my job is incredibly busy on Mondays, quiet on Thursdays, etc, I plan my bigger jobs on the slow days (ie: vacuuming) and the small jobs (toilets) on busy days.

I keep a "schedule" on the side of our fridge. By the end of the week the entire house has been cleaned from top to bottom. (Not including baseboards, those are monthly).

Someone want to convince my husband we should have a cleaning lady come before BG's arrival?

3. How do you put words on your photos?

PicMonkey

4. Are you getting nervous for baby's grand arrival? Is your husband?

Not really. We are taking classes and I trust that my body will know what to do! Plus I've been listening to my Hypnobabies CDs like it's going out of style. Maybe I'm going into this with rose colored glasses on, but hey-- I feel calm!

My husband on the other hand (bless his heart!), is nervous for how it's all going to happen. Every time I wake up in the middle of the night to pee he asks if I'm okay.. "Is it the baby?" NO! Just have to pee again!

5. When is your due date? How much longer?

My "due date" is October 19th. I put quotes because the chances of her arriving on her due date are very slim. Plus, most first time moms go over. She'll come when she comes. :)

I'll be considered full term September 28th (37 weeks) and she'll be welcome any time after that!

Five Blessings on Friday-- August 23rd

Thank goodness it's Friday! I'm so thankful it's the weekend..it's been a long week and I'm ready to recharge this weekend.

Once again I wanted to do the 5 Blessings on Friday instead of Five Question Friday. It helps me be thankful for the little things throughout the week! I will change it up each week to keep it interesting. Some weeks I get more questions than others.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! xO

1. I'm so blessed that I never have to be alone..ever. Some people don't have the pleasure of showering while a 4 legged friend watches. Hey-- at least I know nobody can come in and pull a Psycho move on me while I'm in the shower!

No it's cool. I'll watch you shower.

2. Friends. My friend made me dinner a few nights ago. Actually it was more like an "ensemble". She came by our apartment, grabbed the dogs and me, and we went to her apartment for BBQ and fruity non-alcoholic drinks. Afterwards she even took the dogs out for me. If it were appropriate to kiss her, I would have.

3. Nights alone. I'm blessed to have Tuesday through Saturday nights all to myself. In two months I'll be wishing I had peace and quiet!

4. Cooler weather. On my nights alone, I love nothing more than walking in the cool weather. Some nights it gets as low as 65! My husband thinks I'll eventually just walk this baby right out of me. :)

5. Talented people on Etsy. I know it sounds crazy, but there are some pretty talented people on there!   I'm so thankful to have found great businesses and deals on there. Most of these people I've made multiple purchases from because they are so great to work with!

Bumpdate-- 31 Weeks

31 weeks and the extreme exhaustion has hit full force. Boo. I'm feeling how I was back in February when I couldn't tell anyone I was pregnant.. it was awful!

Most days look something like this: wake up around 7, walk the dogs, inhale breakfast, talk to my boss on the phone (go over work issues), return emails, nap around 11AM, lunch (typically in bed), more phone calls (sometimes from bed), snack, DIET COKE!!!, tidy up the house while making work calls, and dinner/nap. My energy peeks around 7PM and I'll walk about 4-5 miles/online shop/talk on the phone until my husband gets home around 11. Then I crash. Repeat.

I had a checkup on Tuesday and BG was doing just dandy. My belly measured exactly 31 weeks-- so right on track. I got the TDAP vax and that was about it. Pretty uneventful.

How far along? 31W5D

Maternity Clothes: Not wearing much. My maternity jean shorts were uncomfortably tight around my thighs (awesome)-- I think my hips or something got wider. Love wearing these shorts with Target tees and my husband's socks.

Stretch Marks? Nothing new.

Sleep: Cannot get enough sleep. It's very hard to fall asleep but when I do, I sleep great.

Best moment this week: Our nursery rug arrived! (More on the nursery back here). The dogs were totally obsessed from the moment it came out of the box. I'm looking forward to lots of tummy time on this rug. Maybe even monthly photos? In love with it!

The dogs have been "digging" on the rug every chance they get.

Miss anything? Not being tired 24/7, unlimited Diet Coke, and hot baths.

Craving anything? Just candy corn. Besides that, water and fruit.

Movement: She's a pretty active little gal! I will certainly miss all this movement when she's here. :) She can move my phone when it sits on my belly. It's too funny.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Hmm, just the oven. And anything fried.. eww.

Have you started to show yet? I think so! It's quite obvious now, people don't to have to wonder if I'm fat or pregnant. I'm both, obviously.

Gender: My headband wearing little girl!

My MIL has been busy crocheting for BG. Isn't that headband the cutest?!?! I'm fairly certain she'll never have a naked head. And a sweater is in the works.. possibly a going home outfit? Cannot contain my excitement!

Labor signs: No. But totally scary when I left my appointment and the review sheet said "Call when your contractions are 4 mins apart for at least an hour".. Hold the freaking phone!

Belly button in or out? Same, barely in and dark.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy, blessed, and thankful.

Looking forward to: Traveling to NY for our shower September 15th, Labor Day grilling, and getting myself some candy corn! Oh and seeing family in the upcoming weeks/months.

Symptoms: Major, major, major acid reflux. It's the worst! Had it for hours last night before bed and was almost in tears. Finally fell asleep and got it again today after eating a Jalepeno Lean Pocket LOL.

Wordless Wednesday-- August 21st

My husband is a little overprotective of these dogs..

Happy Wednesday, people! xO

Life According To My Phone-- August 20th

I'm trying to get better about taking photos and documenting day to day life. It's definitely something I force myself to do almost every day.

It's really starting to get nice here at night. Temperatures of 60's-70's for evening walks is perfect! The dogs love being outside at this temperature and could hang out all night if we let them.

The doggies are loving their perch! They sit there throughout the whole day and just relax, sun tan, and bark at people. I keep a blanket there so they can fluff it up and be cozy wozy!

The other day they watched a cop give someone a parking ticket.. it was probably the most exciting part of our day! Ha.

And yesterday I felt so accomplished-- woke up, worked out, showered, and even makeup before 9AM! I sat on the couch while talking to my boss on speakerphone. :)

And I may or may not have had a giant bowl of fruit with a spoon.

Saturday night..waiting for their daddy-O to get home. Cocoa was snuggled so perfectly and jerk wad had to sit on top of her!

Obviously there are no words necessary..Fenway is a troublemaker.

And nothing like going to the doggie play area to discover it's no longer there...This is where everyone gathers after work to let their dogs play. Yeah, not cool.

Apparently they are tearing up the whole area to build a bridge or something. Boo.

I hate, hate, triple hate folding socks! My husband has 600,000 and they are all black and never match up. It drives me bonkers. Every Sunday I make him fold his own socks. He thinks I should just shove them in the drawer unmatched, but that gives me heart palpitations.

That's all that's knew around here! Very quiet lately, which we love. :) Enjoy your day! xO

Nursery Progress and Ramblings

As promised, a post about the nursery! We have been super busy between work, family visiting, and life in general. Luckily the nursery is coming along and I'm feeling like we're doing okay

I'll post more about it later, but we were super blessed with a free crib for review! We picked out the Fisher-Price Kingsport Convertible Crib and we're in love. Super thankful of my friend Melissa, she is amazing for thinking of us!

That bedding, swoon! I will cry my eyes out the day we put it into the attic. I know I went a little crazy with the birds, no need to remind me.

We registered for another 3 or 4 sets of white crib sheets and a waterproof mattress cover-- it's always good to have tons of them for diaper explosions. ;)

While I was sick I was busy making these bad boys. I don't like the idea of a crib mobile, so I thought this was a way cuter option. My inspiration came from here. I plan on doing the same thing-- shoving them up in the wall/ceiling and praying they stay there, LOL.

Good thing I bought 18 packs of tissue paper, I have lots more to make!

Nothing too crazy going on along this wall right now. Ordered these letters to go on a shelf above the changing table and am even going to order this garland to decorate the shelf/letters. Cute, right?

Thinking this hamper on one side of the changing table and this chalkboard basket for blankets and such on the other side. Ahem. We already own two of those chalkboard baskets..totally obsessed with them!

When my FIL was here last week he helped me do some rearranging. We both agreed that having the furniture like this is the best way to go.

I'm picturing some tissues on the nightstand, maybe some books, and whatever else. I thought it would be a good idea to have a nightstand by the glider-- perfect place to keep some water or my phone.

Maybe some shelves above the glider? BG has received lots of stuffed animals (plus I'm dying to order this ridiculous-ly overpriced stuffed animal) and keeping them on a shelf seems cute!

We ended up getting this cubeicle for all her little clothes, sleepers, and the like. As much as I dislike them, we really had no room for a real dresser. Oh well!

We have yet to get curtains but that's going to have to happen soon.

The bookcase is still holding random items we've yet to find a home for-- head bands (I'm thinking a glass jar like this), socks, books, and the ring sling. Like I've mentioned, I'll probably use the bookcase for books (duh!) and some baskets to hold whatever else.

My husband is going to hang the wreath above the bookcase, I am not a fan of it leaning against the wall like that.

Our fluffy rug hasn't arrived yet, but I'm so excited to take BG's picture on it!

Okay, that is it for now. I'm sure I forgot nine dozen things but that's the most of it. Cannot wait to make more progress and share with y'all! xO

Bumpdate-- 30 Weeks

Ten weeks to go! Well, actually my due date is 9 weeks from tomorrow. Holy macaroni! I keep thinking of all the crap that needs to get done between now and then-- cleaning, stocking up our freezer with some freezer-friendly meals, and not to mention the fact that we don't even have a car seat for this baby, ha! We'll be good. :)

Besides being sick the past week, I've been feeling great. Sleeping a little bit better but I have trouble getting comfortable. I miss sleeping on my belly so bad. We have a check up on Tuesday so I need to get my questions together.

How far along? 30W6D

Maternity Clothes: Not really wearing them that much. I'm much more comfortable in my Victoria's Secret sweat pants/capris and a maternity T-shirt or tank top.

I think I'm going to order some more VS sweats for after baby is here-- they just seem so comfy to wear while lounging around the house with a newborn.

Stretch Marks? No new ones, thank goodness! Just my boobs and one on my butt, ha ha.

Sleep: Sleeping better than last week. Still cannot get enough sleep. Guess when you're up 3 times a night to pee you need a good nap every afternoon. :)

Best moment this week: Our little nursery project has been so much fun! I'll post more about it later, but here's a cute sneak peek:

We also got to see my FIL on Monday. He helped me rearrange the nursery so we have more floor space. Actually I just stood there and he did everything.

Miss anything? Miss having 3 or 4 Diet Cokes a day. Every afternoon I want to crash without one! Also miss sleeping on my belly. And I could seriously go for a fruity drink right about now.

Craving anything? Not really. Just Diet Coke and water, bananas, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

My husband did get us Five Guys on Sunday but it wasn't as good as I was expecting. Honestly, my meal was a waste of money. I almost cried over it but I didn't want to make my poor husband mad. Instead I pouted in our bedroom with several episodes of Dance Moms and an entire watermelon.

Movement: Our gymnast loves my right side, that's for sure. She's pretty stubborn, though. She won't move around much for her daddy-- he has to quietly sneak over to my belly and then she'll move. She's such a stinker!

Anything making you queasy or sick? Nope, just the oven. And my husband had wings last night...gross.

Have you started to show yet? I think yes!

Gender: Girls rule and boys drool.

Labor signs: No. Like I would know what it feels like!

Belly button in or out? Barely in, still dark.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time: 50/50 ;) Still very blessed and thankful, but being sick was MISERY. So thankful that's over with.

Looking forward to: Our little nursery project this weekend, seeing my dad on Monday, and appointment Tuesday.

Symptoms: Dry mouth/chapped lips, headaches, and sore/achy.

Five Question Friday-- August 16th

Woo hoo it's Friday! :) Sorry about my lack of posts this week, I've been battling some sickness. Boo. I'll get back on track today, promise!

Let's see.. we don't have anything crazy planned this weekend besides this one small nursery project. Can't wait to post about it! My dad is coming on Monday so I'll probably do a quick clean this weekend.

My husband and I have become obsessed with Orange is the new Black, so I'm sure there will be lots of that this weekend.

Have a great weekend, everyone! xO

1. Where did you get the blanket from in this post

It's from Etsy-- Lola's Lovies customized it for me.

2. Are you ever going to post about your mom?

Darn! I will, sorry. I know I said I would, just keep forgetting. Sorry!

3. How are you feeling? Do you like being pregnant? Not much longer!

Thanks for asking! I feel great, to be honest. Surprisingly I'm not swollen (yet?) and I really don't feel that big. I really give a lot of credit to working out constantly. Hopefully I'll get back to my pre-prego body quickly! I'm anxious to take little miss for a jog in the stroller, walk in the sling, or just a long walk outside this fall.

Yup, I love being pregnant! I'm so thankful to be carrying my little gal and try not to complain so much. When I do complain, my dad and husband usually want to smack me.

4. What do your weekends usually look like? Does your husband always have to work?

Weekends are always unpredictable. My poor husband works Saturdays so I try to get house stuff done that day. A typical Saturday is "sleep in", stay in my jammies, clean up/laundry, grocery shop, and meal plan for the week.

Sundays are a bit more fun-- sleep in, church, maybe go out for breakfast, play with the puppies, watch shows, and lots of PJ time.

Our philosophy for weekends is this-- we work hard during the week so we like to play hard during the weekend. I have no shame being in my jammies throughout the day on Saturday. :)

5. What's your dream job?

Hmm, well I love what I do now so I consider myself super blessed. BUT, in another life I would have loved to go to the naval academy. I have a friend who went there and it just seems so cool! Not sure if I would survive, but it'd be a fun experience.

Bumpdate-- 29 Weeks

Another week, another time I'm writing this post on the last possible day. By the end of this pregnancy I'll be better, promise. :)

Cannot believe my due date is 10 weeks from tomorrow! Where does the time go? We are getting closer and closer to meeting our sweet little gal and we can't wait.

I have an appointment on Tuesday but I think I'll end up changing it so my husband can go. Not to mention my FIL might be in the area, so it will be a fun week. I'm anxious to ask what's what in my belly-- I'm feeling movement all over and I wonder if they can tell me how she's sitting/hanging out!

How far along? 29W6D

Maternity Clothes: Obviously. Haven't bought anything new but starting to think of what I should wear to my baby shower. A giant sheet? Possibly a long dress? Definitely let me know what you suggest!

Stretch Marks? A few on my boobs. Found one on my booty too. Ha ha. Because that part of my body definitely needed to get bigger.

Sleep: Cannot get enough sleep. Crash for about 2 hours every afternoon. It is usually interrupted with work people calling and me sprinting into my office half asleep. Sweet.

Best moment this week: Getting our crib set up! I will do an official post on it, but here's a sneak peek:

My ring sling came in and obviously I had to put Mister Oreo in it! I can't wait to put our little girl in it. If you need a ring sling I definitely recommend this one-- very reasonably priced and very cool (it's made of gauze or something).

Miss anything? I miss not being tired 24/7! Besides that I love being pregnant.

Craving anything? Nothing. Ice water. Maybe watermelon/cantaloupe. Last night my husband came home from work with a calzone and cannolis. I thought for sure I'd want to have some but it smelled so bad and looked so gross. All I wanted was ice water!

Movement: Still active at the same times-- 10-11AM and 10-11PM. I learned that babies are most active from 24-28 weeks, and then the movement slows down a bit until birth. I have noticed a bit of a decline but she's still pretty active.

Anything making you queasy or sick? Hmm, definitely the calzone last night. Besides that nothing really.

Have you started to show yet? Finally! Feeling round and gigantic.

Gender: Girls rule!

Seriously. Have you ever seen something so perfect? I saw it and had to have it. I need one in every size, but of course my Target only had it in 3 months. In. Love.

Labor signs: No

Belly button in or out? In still. Very dark and weird looking.

Wedding rings on or off? On

Happy or moody most of the time? Happy, blessed, thankful, and excited.

Looking forward to: Maybe getting to meet up with my FIL on Tuesday, my appointment next week, and seeing my dad next weekend. And making more progress on the nursery.

Symptoms: Hot 24/7 and out of breath. Not so bad!

5 Blessings on Friday-- August 9th

Happy Friday people! I hope everyone had a great week. This week flew by and I was hoping to accomplish more than I actually did. Oh well.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful this weekend so I hope to be outside soaking it up. I got a new dog walking client and I'm excited to meet Penny!

I thought this week instead of Five Question Friday, I could say 5 things I'm thankful for/feeling blessed about

1-- My cute husband! He put together BG's crib (another blessing that I'll post about later), night stand, and storage cube thing all without complaining. Not sure if he enjoyed it, but it's done and I'm thankful.

2-- Our jobs. I know this is a no-brainer, but I feel the need to say it this week. My husband has one schedule one week and then it's changing 64 times the next. It drives me batty. With that being said, I'm thankful he has a job. A job he loves with people he loves, at that.

3-- A family totally obsessed with photographing/video'ing every moment. A few birthdays ago my grandfather gave me all of his home videos of me when I was little. I finally took the time a few nights ago to sit down and watch everything. It. Was. Hilarious.

I'm so thankful my grandfather was always in our faces with the camera/camcorder because now I have these DVDs to watch. I'm also thankful we have a video camera to capture our little gal. I hope to be just as annoying and have the camera out 24/7.

4-- My sweet BG! Again, a no brainer, but I'm so thankful for her cute little movements late at night. And early in the morning. And the scary ones in my hips where I feel like she is kicking her way out!

5-- My extremely energetic weasels. Note Cocoa sitting under the dining room table scared to death of Oreo.

Enjoy your weekend! xO

Apartment Favorites (Tour)

Many of you have been asking for pictures of our new place. To me the house looks the same, but here are some pictures anyway.

These are some of my favorite things around the house..Enjoy!

An "entryway". Enough said.

I cannot tell you how much I love our little entryway! The table was actually in our bedroom before (back here), but it worked out better here. It's so nice to have a place for all our crap

Totally obsessed with the Target chalkboard basket (we have another one in our room) for umbrellas, guests' shoes, my husband's work stuff, whatever.

Why yes there is a picture of my grandparents in our bathroom.

My husband thinks it's totally weird we have pictures in the bathroom. I'm not really sure how it happened. It was more of a "if we don't put these pictures somewhere, they will gather dust in a closet" situation. So my grandparents are hanging out in the bathroom. Sweet.

Love this in the hall leading to our room.

I got free 11x17 (I think that's what size they are?) photos from Shutterfly using My Coke Rewards. I knew if I didn't get frames and get it up ASAP, it wouldn't be done.

To the left of the pictures is my husband's very own closet. He can keep all his work stuff in it and it's out of the way! Remember before it was in the office closet?

Obviously I love not having to share my closet.

Across from that, I have my very own closet too. :) Woo hoo! It's awesome when I'm having a "nothing fits" moment and I can just throw the stuff on the ground and shut the door.

Any ideas for above the fireplace?

And of course the dogs are obsessed with our gigantic window. You can't see it but there is a bed so they can sit and look out. They love it!

At night if our lights are on, people can see in. My FIL put the curtain rod up and now we just need to find curtains. Suggest a place to get them for a reasonable price? I'd rather not spend $400 on a place we rent! (That's what Bed, Bath, and Beyond had).

Not sure if I posted about it but my husband got me that giant map for our 1 year anniversary. It is awesome for dinner conversation and I just love it. I've always wanted a map to mark where we've been, where we've lived, family lives, etc. We can't wait to show our little gal where her family lives and talk about it!

And the dining room is also where my husband has "set up shop".

Seriously, having a second bathroom has been nothing short of amazing. And we also have a huge linen closet in that bathroom-- it's just perfect! It was so nice when people were here!

The door on the left leads to the office, and the door on the right is the linen closet. Completely stuffed with pillows, blankets, towels, and the like.

My office/guest room is kind of a weird shape. Just like before, there is a big walk in closet that is perfect for all our stuff

The dogs love sitting on the bench (very bottom, under the window) and looking out the window. We call it their "perch" and they sit there all day while I work.

And my least favorite part of the house, ugh. Honestly, we are not hoarders (I swear)! I don't know what the deal is.

The walk in closet is also weirdly shaped and is housing my scrapbooking stuff, Christmas stuff, and my husband's tools.

This guy holds random work stuff (and obviously a basketball, LOL). You guys know I'm not a huge fan of the cube units (they look so dorm-y to me), but it's all that could work. Plus, we can shut the door to the closet and I don't have to see it.

Have any suggestions for reorganizing this bad boy? My nesting instincts are telling me to throw everything away and use it as a closet for Baby B. Please don't let me do that

That's it! I'll try to take more photos as we get more settled, and of course nursery pictures will be coming soon! xO
